NC DOT Seeks Public Input

The North Carolina Department of Transportation invites you to provide your input and participate in the development of the 10-year State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) document by identifying your priority projects throughout the state. NCDOT updates its STIP approximately every two years.

The cycle to update the STIP for 2024-2033 began in fall 2019. Due to rising costs for projects funded in the currently adopted 2020-2029 STIP, little to no funding is projected to be available for new projects in the next STIP. Therefore, on Aug. 4, 2021, the Prioritization Workgroup and the N.C. Board of Transportation decided that the current prioritization cycle would be halted and the 2024-2033 STIP would be developed using existing projects from the currently adopted 2020-2029 STIP.
